Loosing a tooth is exciting for kids!  Sometimes they fall out while wiggling and sometimes they have to be pulled!  However they come out, kids are excited to loose a tooth and even more excited to see what the Tooth Fairy brings!

Happy Hearts Decorate the Home

I love to decorate for any occasion!  It is fun to see what I already have that I can use to decorate with and I always love to make new decorations!  Here are a few inexpensive simple ideas that you can use to decorate your home for Valentine's Day.  For the LOVE picture, I took a black frame that I already had and covered the inside back with solid colored scrapbook paper.  Then I cut out different sizes and shapes of hearts out of printed scrapbook paper andI glued them to the covered back.  I cut out L-O-V-E letters in two different colors so that one shadowed the other.  Glue the letters together and then glue those onto the heart covered paper.  Pop the back on the frame and you have a great inexpensive Valentine's picture!
Add a simple paper heart to an old picture. This give the picture new purpose and incorporates it into your Valentine's decorations!
Most of us have received gifts in heart shaped tins, boxes, paper, or plastic containers.  Here are a couple of ideas to help re-purpose those. 1)  I saved the plastic hearts that M&M's come in for Valentines and topped crystal candle holders with them.  I turn the M&M printed side to the back, so that only the plain side shows.  I have a large flower arrangement in the middle of our dining table and then 3 different heights of crystal candle holders on each side of the arrangement topped with these red hearts.  These help decorate any table!  Another decorating idea is to fill a trunk with heart shaped boxes.  It's easy and makes a great decoration! 
 Another easy decoration is to fill pretty containers with water and then add a few drops of red food coloring.  These make a bold statement without any expense!  Pair them with books in Valentine's colors or Subjects. 
If you have kids in the house, you most likely have stuffed animals.  Stuffed animals make great Valentine's decorations!  Especially paired with a small Valentine's sign or pillow!
